Crossbearer's Log:
Started at 8:55 A.M., finished at 1:45 P.M., walking 12.3 miles today and having a total of 278.7 miles. This put me ahead of schedule 18.7 miles.
I was tired, my legs were tired. So I chose to take it easy on myself and not push too hard. Fortunately, I was able to walk the first ten and a half miles on gravel from the old Highway 50 which ran parallel to Highway 50 approximately 100-200 feet away. This provided for a nice, peaceful day.
After ten miles, Highway 50 veered right heading into Fallon. At that point, traffic became heavy and I had to walk on the shoulder of Highway 50.Coordinates:
